No one can take the beauty of Sedona’s red rock and ponderosa country for granted even if they live there and see it everyday.  Even if one wanted, the eyes could not ignore the greatness of such a masterpiece that includes monoliths like Coffee Pot, Cathedral, and Bell Rock.
Nestled in Arizona’s Coconino National Forest it is no wonder that Sedona is a mecca for those who seek the beauty of God’s creation with millions of tourists traveling here from around the world each year.  In Sedona one has an opportunity to not only enjoy the beautifully carved red sandstone surrounding the city but admire the work of many talented artists as well.  The best way to ride into Sedona is via the Red Rock Scenic Highway. Take A179 from the south off of I-17 exit 298.  Red Rock Highway will take you past Bell Rock and through the Village of Oak Creek (Big Park), home of the annual Verde Valley Music Festival.  One would not want to miss the Tlaquepaque an Arts and Crafts community on the left just after the Oak Creek bridge.  Tlaquepaque reminds one of the ‘El Parian’ in old San Pedro, Mexico with the flavor of an old mexican shopping village.   Tlaquepaque is a setting for several aritist’s studios, restaurants and even a brew pub.  If you like art then you need to stop at Tlaquepaque.
Sedona offers a variety of lodging accommodations from world class resorts, chain hotels and charming bed and breakfast locations. See the links on this page for a variety of places to hang up your leather for the nite and selected places to eat.  If you are planning to stay for a few days there are some great bike rides out of Sedona .  For a fantastic view of the  Sedona area ride your bike up to the Church of The Red Rocks.  To appreciate the many red rock  formations you should  take one of the many jeep tours that are available. To cool off in the summer visit Slide Rock State Park.
Take a break and visit the many tourists shoppes in uptown Sedona on the ‘Si Birch Memorial Hwy 89 just before the highway starts to wind up through the Oak Creek Canyon
heading up to Flagstaff.  The Oak Creek Canyon ride is only second to the Red Rocks of Sedona.  Visit the Jordan Historical Park which features displays on the early pioneers of Sedona and photos of the golden era of cowboy movies filmed in Sedona.  Sedona is a center for meta-physical arts offering a wide variety of inner healing, personal enrichment and related services. Sedona has an abundance of spas, spiritual guides, and retreats available for those seeking to enhance their   spiritual well-being. Throughout the year, there is a lot going on in the Sedona area so check out the event links below.  Check out the videos & bike rentals at Eagle Rider of Sedona. Most of all enjoy the red rock country.
