Arizona bikers guide to motorcycle events and destinations in Arizona.  Review events, attractions,  places to eat, drink, lodge, or camp plus other helpful information for an informed motorcycle biker ride in Arizona.

For some of us bikers it’s the thrill of the sound of those pipes that keep our motorcycles on the road. There is no place like Arizona to hear that sound while on great motorcycle rides through the historic towns and cities of this great state. Motorcycles rumble up the Catalina Highway out of Tucson up to Mt Lemmon and then back again heading south through Tombstone and the OK Corral and then on to the Copper Queen Mine in Bisbee, Arizona. Bikers turn their motorcycles west towards Kartchner Caverns, Sierra Vista, and Nogales on the border. Motorcycles meet up on Whiskey Row in Prescott to ride the twisties over the Mingus mountains to the old mining town of Jerome, a weekend motorcycle haven. Bikers take their motorcycles up through the national forests of Coconino, Tonto, and Apache Sitgraves forests. Taking in the beauty of the pine forests and clean high mountain air they point their motorcycles towards the mountain communities of Payson, Strawberry, and Pine, past the Tonto Natural Bridge and biker friendly stops along the way. Some motorcycles find their riders taking the higher road up over the Mogollon Rim towards Clint’s Well, Mormon Lake or east towards Show Low through the White Mountains and on towards New Mexico. Motorcycles crusing south from Payson enjoy the beauty of the southeast of Arizona and pass through places like Roosevelt Lake, Tortilla Flat and Globe, Arizona. The Verde Valley offers motorcycle bikers beauty and warmth and includes destinations such as Old Town Cottonwood, Camp Verde and Clarkdale. A very popular ride for motorcycles is up through the red rock highway to Sedona and then continuing on up through Oak Creek Canyon to Flagstaff, Page, and Lake Powell. Only in Arizona can motorcycles take their riders to the Grand Canyon. Past Sunset Crater, the Painted Desert and the Vermillion Cliffs and on to the North Rim motorcycles catch the eyes of tourists from around the world. Riding from Flagstaff up and over the San Francisco Peaks and the Arizona Ski Bowl packs of motorcycles thread their way through the tall stands of Ponderosa Pine to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Heading south from the Grand Canyon you will see a number of motorcycles in the old town of Williams, Arizona which is on the old route 66 highway. Here bikers enjoy getting back to the days of the mother road enjoying hamburgers and a fresh draw outside while resting their iron. Nearby is the old Pine Breeze Motel that hung the ‘No Vacancy’ sign up as ‘Easy Rider’ stopped by. Arizona has the longest remaining stretch of the mother road, old route 66, and it is called the Historic Route 66. From Seligman to Kingman and Oatman bikers from all around the world experience the way it used to be on their motorcycles. Here they catch the Colorado River in Lake Havasu City riding the road south through Parker and desert communities like Wickenburg, Quartzite, Yuma, Gila Bend and Ajo. This is the route motorcycles take to a favorite Mexico destination, Puerto Penasco, also known as Rocky Point. There are certainly a lot of places to ride in Arizona and some of the pages and links on this website will take you there. Experience the rich history and world class destinations in the towns of Arizona. Make sure you take a break now and then, rest your motorcycle, and enjoy the native american art and culture of Arizona. Visit and stay at some of the grandest old historic hotels or quaint little Bed and Breakfast locations, the many art galleries and museums along the way. Relax in some of the biker friendly bars and road stop cafes with tasty grub, cold beer, and great entertainment. Visit the many website links that are available on the city pages here on this website. Wherever you ride your motorcycle in Arizona your journey is guaranteed to produce memories that will last a lifetime. So...zip up the leather, start ‘er up, look both ways and hit the road! Ride Safe and keep your eyes on the road ahead. I look forward to meetin’ up with ya sometime out on the Arizona roads!
